The Research Centre for Semiconductor Quantum Integrated Electronics was established at the Advanced Institute for Comprehensive Studies.

Yokohama National University established the Research Centre of Semiconductors and Quantum Integrated Electronics in April this year to research and develop ‘back-end’ technologies that enhance the performance of semiconductors.

The research centre is calibrated with five laboratories and started with a staff of 18, including seven professors and 11 associate professors.

Inoue is deputy director of the centre.
